God continues to express His love and faithfulness to this Kenya pastor, these children and teachers, and this village people as He faithfully provides for their needs as they continue to build upon and expand this young humble village school.
Due to the increased number of children (50) enrolled at the school it was necessary to build a larger latrine. The present one was only two stalls, and another six stalls were needed. It has been nearly 5 months since the prayer request was placed by Pst John, but God has been faithful to provide, and the new latrine is complete.
We Praise God for this blessing. \o/
A 20 foot hole was dug first, then large timber laid across and sheet metal to build the foundation leaving 6 holes for the latrine stalls. Then 2000 brick, a truck load of sand, 20 bags of cement, 10 metal roofing sheets, bars, nails, timber, and 6 doors, along with labor and transport costs were provided to complete the project. God is faithful, and the children and teachers have this necessary need met.
The School's Next Project Need is a Larger Water Tank
The next need is a larger water tank to help them in the rain water harvesting. The water will be used for preparing meals in school and also for drinking. The pupils consume a lot of water, and because of the expanding population of the school a 10,000 liter tank will be ideal. This present tank is 3000 liters which sits on Pst John's personal property adjacent to the school, has been supplying water for Pst John and his family as well as the school, but now a larger 10,000 liter tank is needed. Please join us in prayer for this need. Cost for this size tank is $700, and the additional related cost of sand, cement, concrete, labor, transport, etc is approximately $300.
